Since the 1990s, Cheryl has worked as a professional artist, building an international following of collectors. Her practice is shaped by her own life experiences, often beginning intuitively and developing through an interplay of music and paint. After living in St Ives, UK, for five years among leading postmodern British artists, she returned to Australia and earned a Masters in Visual Arts from the Queensland College of Arts at Griffith University in Brisbane. Cheryl has presented solo exhibitions in public and private galleries across Melbourne, Brisbane, and Cairns. She now works from her studio in Far North Queensland, where she creates daily alongside her husband, abstract painter Pez.
