Drawing from an early interest in coloured pencils, she has expanded her practice to include pastels, watercolour, acrylics, Posca markers, fineliners, metallic leaf, and collage. Her mixed media works combine contemporary and intuitive techniques, often marked by a rebellious approach. Van Dalen’s art focuses on feminine energy, supporting trauma survivors and advocating for gender equality, while encouraging viewers to embrace transformation and self-acceptance.
