Working primarily in acrylic, Tania Thenabadu creates expressive paintings that layer vivid colour to depict women and French-inspired landscapes. Drawing on her Sri Lankan heritage and personal experiences, her work reflects a contemporary approach that seeks to evoke memory and emotion. Thenabadu studied art in Singapore and Sydney, and completed a month-long residency at One Arts Gold Coast. She has exhibited in Sydney and the Gold Coast, where she has sold a number of works. In 2025, she received a Professional Development Grant from the Gold Coast City Council to attend an art residency at Château Cerisay, France, in July 2026.
