Tamhuy, a graduate of the Beaux-Arts of Versailles in France, combines influences ranging from impressionism to abstraction in his painting. Drawing inspiration from artists including Claude Monet, Zao Wou Ki, William Turner, Joan Mitchell, and Kikuo Saito, as well as from nature and Buddhist concepts, his work reflects a personal spiritual journey. Emphasizing pictorial gesture, Tamhuy creates compositions where forms and colors intertwine, producing a meditative and expressive atmosphere.
