Born in rural Northern Thailand, Ta Byrne is a Thai artist recognized for paintings that convey emotional warmth, gentle humor, and a subtle sense of human connection. After spending years outside the creative fields, she began her art career later in life, developing a full-time painting practice that has attracted international collectors. In March 2026, her work was acquired by the F.W. Norton Art Gallery & Museum for its Contemporary Gallery. Two of her paintings now hang in the palace of Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Al-Haj of Malaysia, following a recent studio visit. Byrne’s work was also featured in a 2026 article by Tony Walne in *The Daily Mail on Sunday*, titled "How to Spot the Next Banksy or Hockney."
