Working without brushes, Susan uses found objects to produce vibrant abstractions defined by bold pinks, oranges, reds, aquas, and luminous whites. Her rhythmic mark-making and circular, sculptural textures create surfaces that convey movement and blur the line between spontaneity and intention. Living with chronic nerve pain, she paints reclined and close to the page—a method that relies on instinct and results in raw, emotionally direct gestures.
