Silvio Zago combines impressionist and expressionist approaches in oil painting, working primarily with a palette knife to create informal, abstract compositions. Drawing on direct engagement with fellow artists, he transforms scenes of the Polesine countryside and the Po Delta into images that move beyond traditional landscape. His practice centers on the interplay of light and shadow, expressing deep emotion and emphasizing ongoing transformation within the image. Zago maintains studios in Cavarzere and Chioggia.
