Sergio Franzosi (b. 1947, Invorio, Italy) is an artist whose practice bridges painting and sculpture, regularly engaging with architectural forms and environments. Originally from the Lake Maggiore region in Piedmont, he worked as an architect in Arona until 2010 before dedicating himself fully to art. Franzosi’s work moves between figurative motifs and abstraction, often shaped by his ongoing interest in the structures of settlements. Since beginning to exhibit in 1985, he has shown in Borgomanero, Le Puy, Arona, Novara, London, Rome, Milan, and Genoa, with recent solo exhibitions in Genoa, Varallo S., Bellinzago, and Gozzano in 2019 and 2024. His awards include multiple finalist distinctions at the Arte Award (Cairo Editore, Milan), the Start Award (Thiene VI, 2019), and the DeSidera Festival (Trieste, 2020).
