After establishing an international photo bank in 1992, following a career spent working professionally with art without creating it, the artist began painting around 15 years ago. Seeking to broaden technical skills and perspectives, they attended seminars at Art Schools in Prague and participated in Sumie and calligraphy workshops led by the Japanese Culture Association. Eastern painting philosophy and aesthetics have become central to the artist’s practice and remain its foundation. In 2022, the artist committed fully to painting, which now occupies a central place in their life.
