Born in Lisbon, Patrícia Reis is a Portuguese painter with a background in ceramics and art conservation and restoration. Her work centers on lyrical abstraction, drawing from memory, nature, and emotion. Working intuitively, Reis uses colour, movement, texture, and layering to allow each painting to chart its own direction. Nature remains a grounding influence and continual source of transformation in her practice. Her paintings stem from dreams and feelings that often defy verbal expression, inviting viewers to find personal connections and meaning within each work.
