Massimo Orsi is an artist based between Alessandria and Rome whose practice centers on the complexities of contemporary society. While working across multiple media, he has identified painting as his principal form of expression. Orsi’s work is propelled by a political commitment, treating art as a means of taking a clear social position. Much of his analysis addresses the influence of mass media, distilling the emblematic “OK” hand gesture into a logo by repeating and inverting it on all four sides of a square. This logo, while not functioning as a brand, serves as a tool to question the authenticity of messages shaped by consumer culture, and remains a recurring motif in his exploration of present-day issues.
