Marie Melnyk is a painter whose large-scale layered oil works engage with surrealism and mysticism. After earning a Fine Arts diploma in Ukraine, she studied artist anatomy and environment design, and spent three years in private atelier training focused on Old Masters techniques and classical life drawing. From 2016 to 2019, Melnyk worked independently in Japan, developing her practice and building private collections, later moving to Düsseldorf before settling in Georgia, where she maintains her studio. Her Peace series and other works investigate the paradox of openness and love amid transformative, often tumultuous change, expressed through luminous, ethereal forms poised between dream and catastrophe.
