Working independently from a small island in the Azores, this self-taught artist draws on the solitude of the Atlantic and the surrounding natural environment. Painting primarily on paper and canvas, they employ mixed techniques—combining acrylic, ink, watercolor, and oil—to create organic images and interior landscapes. Their process is intuitive and immersive, with gesture, color, and materials guiding the transformation of each work. Previously focused on drawing and hyper-realist portraiture, painting has become their primary medium. Themes of silence, nature, and transformation recur throughout their practice, suspended between chaos and quiet, instinct and contemplation.
