Lynn Bushell is a painter working in oils whose practice is shaped by the vibrant colors and Fauvist legacy of Scottish painting. Educated at Edinburgh University and College of Art, she creates landscapes inspired by the Normandy coastline and reinterprets art historical masterpieces through a contemporary lens. Bushell emphasizes color and surface texture, layering and reworking her paintings over time to leave traces of their evolution. She has held solo exhibitions in London at The Thackeray Gallery, Roy Miles Fine Art, and The Rotunda, and participated in mixed shows at the Royal Academy, Highgate Fine Art, and Roland, Browse & Delbanco. Her work is included in The Government Art Collection.
