Lino Spada is a self-taught artist working across painting, drawing, and sculpture. His practice centers on inventive combinations of materials, notably using wood collage to create works that merge painting, collage, and sculptural relief. In his RITMI series, Spada translates sound into dynamic arrangements of shape and color. His sculptures draw on late-nineteenth-century Italian peasant culture and ancient Samnite symbols, rendered in wood, iron, and stone—materials often recycled and restored. Through these essential forms, Spada explores the connection between humanity and nature, inviting an intimate, dreamlike resonance.
