Lina Redford is an expressive figurative artist currently based in Spain. Working primarily with palette knives and impasto techniques, she creates paintings that evoke sculptural qualities in pursuit of what she describes as “sculpting happiness.” Originally from a nomadic background, Redford has lived in five countries over the past eight years, drawing on diverse cultures and landscapes as sources for her imagery. She studied and worked for two years in the studio of Czech artist Lana Frey while completing her master’s degree. Redford’s work has been featured in The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and has appeared at major art fairs, including Art Basel Miami, through her collaboration with Belgian photographer Eric Ceccarini.
