Laurence Saunois is a French artist recognized for her realistic and nuanced animal portraits, which are held in both private and public collections. Honored by the Society of Animal Artists in the United States with an Award of Excellence and designated a Living Master Associate by the Art Renewal Center, she has participated in numerous SAA exhibitions and national tours, exhibiting in leading American museums. Saunois’s recent series, Nympheus Luminansis – Water Lilies of Light, marks a shift in her practice with ten large-format works inspired by Monet’s gardens at Giverny that foreground light and color. This series will be presented at six U.S. museums on tour from 2026 to 2027.
