Katrina’s practice is shaped by a longstanding dedication to design and craftsmanship. Beginning at age 14 with early experiences on Macintosh computers and an internship in advertising technology, she later trained as an assistant and pursued design studies before co-managing textile printing businesses in Hamburg. Since 2013, Katrina has worked independently in graphic design and advertising technology. After losing her livelihood to outside interference in 2020, she turned to art full time, embracing traditional materials. Working in oil, pastel, watercolor, and charcoal, she explores the interplay of light and natural forms, often creating serene environments. Her portfolio also includes drawings and linocuts inspired by her loyal cat. Today, Katrina prioritizes direct engagement with materials over digital tools, continuing her work as an artist.
