Kartonik is a self-taught French visual artist known for her playful, vibrant paintings that combine modern materials with bold black outlines. Her expressive, caricatured figures and imaginative scenes—featuring crooked houses, farm animals such as hens and cows, and colorful fish—are crafted to convey joy, optimism, and the positive side of humanity. Since February 2017, Kartonik has operated her own gallery in Saint Gilles X De Vie, and her work, centered on themes of love, friendship, and family, has been exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions.
