Kaixuan FENG creates transdisciplinary work that brings together Chinese cultural heritage and contemporary forms across performance, photography, calligraphy, painting, textile sculpture, and video. Trained in Chinese painting at the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts and holding a DNSEP from the École supérieure d'art de Tourcoing, she also teaches in TAFA’s transmedia art department. Her ongoing series "Cheveux d'Encre," shown at venues such as Palais de Tokyo and Musée Champollion, explores ideas of self-giving and the symbolic strength of fragility. FENG has exhibited internationally, including at the Grand Palais, Carrousel du Louvre, and Tianjin Art Museum. In 2024, she was awarded the "100 Women of Culture" prize. Her work is held in collections worldwide.
