Jule Siewerth (b. 1999, southern Germany) is a self-taught artist based in Basel. Working primarily with acrylics and oil pastels, she creates expressive, abstract paintings that foreground her break from classical norms. Siewerth’s practice focuses on the interplay of light and shadow, capturing suspended moments and the tension between darkness and hope. Originally embarking on a different career, she shifted her path in 2026 to pursue art full-time, driven by a growing need for personal liberation. Her paintings offer evocative spaces that encourage viewers to reconnect with their own recollections and emotions.
