Jonas Peres is a Spanish artist based in Madrid whose paintings examine the capacities of color and light to transform mood and perception. Drawing on his studies at the California Institute of the Arts and advanced work in Modern Art at MoMA, New York, Peres brings a background in History and Divinity from Yale to investigate meaning and presence in contemporary life. His practice centers on luminous chromatic fields, atmospheric horizons, and immersive environments that connect the spiritual sensibility of Mark Rothko with the cultural immediacy of Andy Warhol. Peres has exhibited during the Venice Biennale and at Art Basel Miami.
