Harmeet Singh is an abstract artist based in New Chandigarh, India, known for large-format acrylic paintings shaped by an intensive process of mark-making, layering, scraping, and reworking. Drawing on the idea of fault lines, he examines the emergence and transformation of structure as layers are added, obscured, and exposed. Singh’s method leaves traces—lines, scars, and surface interruptions—that capture the evolving history of each piece. Rather than following a predetermined path, his paintings emerge gradually, with the visible marks and hidden layers recording the work’s ongoing development.
