Gregory Christeas, born in Athens in 1944, is an abstract painter whose work is shaped by early encouragement from his mother and a deep connection to nature. Over a decades-long career, he has exhibited widely, including a major presentation of 125 paintings at the Cultural Olympiad Athens 2004, organized by the Ministry of Progress and the National Department of Tourism. Christeas’s painting "Parallel" draws on memories of the Aegean Sea, translating rhythmic waves and introspective moods into form and color. His practice centers on the fluidity and harmony found in the natural world, allowing each work to convey a quiet, contemplative presence.
