Based in Florence, Giovanni Giunta is a self-taught painter known for layered compositions in shades of black, using white to define areas of light and emphasize depth. He has collaborated with gallery owners in Marseille, Düsseldorf, London, and Florence, and his approach centers on the interplay between darkness and light, inspired by his ongoing exchange with 'Leonor.' Giunta’s recent projects include a 2023 portrait commission for French actress Laëtitia Eïdo, co-star of Fauda, and a live portrait of Italian actress Claudia Vismara, co-star of Rocco Schiavone, set for March 2025.
