Dagmar combines over two decades of film editing experience with a painting practice that began in 2001. Working in both oil and acrylic, she moves between naturalistic depictions and abstraction, often employing bold, challenging color. Her painting has developed through intensive self-directed study, resulting in works that range from the concrete to the abstract. Dagmar’s first major public showing was a solo exhibition at the Berliner Liste in 2011, which received a positive response. Her work is held by private collectors and hoteliers in Germany, France, Italy, Norway, Hong Kong, and the United States. Her awards include the ARTYA Emerald Awards in New York (2021), the Botticelli Art Prize in Florence (2019), and the Woman's Art Award in Madrid (2018).
