Christine Marquardt is a painter and printmaker whose background in graphic communication design informs her intuitive approach to image-making. Working with acrylic, charcoal, and pastel chalk, she creates abstract expressionist compositions built from layers, traces, and splashes of color. Her "Water Worlds" series draws on encounters with the sea, using fluid transitions, rhythmic structures, and transparent layers to evoke openness and transformation. In her "worlds of feeling" works, fragments of text and subtle written elements are integrated into the surface, inviting personal interpretations. Marquardt also accepts commissions that allow for the incorporation of individual messages.
