Christine Harrison’s practice centers on expressive painting, printmaking, and mosaic installations built upon a foundation in graphic design. Her works are defined by layered acrylic surfaces, employing sgraffito and glazing, and often incorporate materials such as metal leaf, oil pastel, or inks to intensify depth and texture. Harrison balances controlled forms with intuitive gestures, creating compositions that evoke both the natural world and resonant emotion. She received a five-year Fellowship from Digswell Arts in 2012, and her work has been recognized by Saatchi Originals and as a double prizewinner at the Eastern Approaches exhibition. Harrison’s pieces are held in private collections across the UK, US, Canada, and France, and she has completed commissions for both private and public contexts, with artwork appearing in corporate settings and film.
