Since the 1980s, this artist has pursued an intensive studio practice rooted in drawing, ink, painting, engraving, and sculpture. Trained in Nancy, their earliest work explored the qualities of black ink on white paper, leading to a sustained engagement with material and process across multiple disciplines. While exhibiting has never been a primary motivation, years of rigorous experimentation form the basis of their practice, which seeks to evoke emotion and connect with others. Over time, their work has moved from cerebral beginnings toward a more intuitive approach, resulting in a process marked by greater clarity and resolve.
