Trained as an architect, Bogdan Shevchenko (b. 1991) lives and works in Germany. Shevchenko’s practice translates architectural concepts—perspective, structure, and plan—into painting and sculptural relief. His white relief panels render one-point perspective as physical form, turning drawn geometry into objects shaped by light and shadow. In his oil paintings, gestural abstraction intersects with underlying structural order. Shevchenko’s works across both media consider how space, form, and light carry traces of memory and human presence, existing between the states of construction and gradual erosion.
