Baptiste Laurent (b. 1980, Nantes) is a visual artist based in Spain since 2007. While painting remains his primary medium, his work also extends to sculpture and projects with literary, social, and anthropological focus. Laurent’s practice developed independently alongside academic studies in political science and art history. He has held artistic director and project management roles at institutions including the Palais de Tokyo, La Maison Rouge, Venice Biennale, and Galleria Continua. His exhibitions include presentations at the Institut Français de Madrid, Espacio Seara, Palais de Tokyo, Museo Nacional de Antropología, and FL Gallery. Recent publications and exhibitions such as "Mauvaises Tournures," "Bajo el mismo mar," and "Exit" have centered on collaborative creation.
