Flora Zambanini is a self-taught artist known for transforming industrial materials—such as cement, ferrous pastes, acrylic paint, metal wire, and miniature real objects—into sculptural works. Her practice centers on creating pictorial design sculptures that incorporate designer lamps and, in some pieces, illuminated display cases. Rather than being made to hang, her works are designed to occupy space, intended to be placed on the ground or on custom pedestals that highlight their proportions. Zambanini embraces scratched, dented, and oxidized surfaces as integral textures, turning imperfections into visual poetry.
