Trained in Stuttgart and Krefeld during the 1950s and ’60s, Annachrista Kroll-Buchholz is a glass painter and mosaic artist who has worked independently in her KB studio since 1966. Her practice spans oil painting, watercolor, pastel, drawing, glass and metal sculpture, mosaics, and leaded glass. Since 2009, she has focused primarily on painting, drawing, and sketching. Kroll-Buchholz’s work blends depictions of nature and people with attention to mood and socio-critical subjects, frequently evoking a powerful inner landscape that prompts reflection.
