Working in oil and pastel, Anna Parhimovits creates landscapes, still lifes, and abstractions that draw on both classical and contemporary influences. Born in Kazakhstan and now based in Estonia, she brings together Russian and Estonian cultural references, reflecting her personal history and outlook. Parhimovits began her practice in 2000, and her work has been shown in Estonia and internationally. She was a laureate of the HABITUS BALTIJA competition in 2004 and took part in the ART WOMAN '97 group exhibition. In 2018, her solo show “Let’s Get Acquainted” at the Russian Theatre Gallery in Estonia featured pastel landscapes and still lifes.
