Working in painting and ceramics, Anna Eibl-Eibesfeldt focuses on recycled materials and the transformation of existing structures through layers, contrasts, and vibrant color. Her practice centers on gestural approaches, emphasizing superimposition and dynamic interactions between form and color across both surface and space. Eibl-Eibesfeldt studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg with Prof. Christine Colditz, later continuing in Munich with Prof. Horst Sauerbruch. She also attended the Accademia di Belle Arti in Genoa on a scholarship and studied with Jim Dine at the Salzburg Summer Academy. Since 2004, she has worked as a freelance painter and art educator, based in the Bavarian Forest and Regensburg.
