Working primarily in acrylic and drawing on Impressionist influences, María Ángeles Sánchez Buendía has spent more than two decades teaching painting at her academy in Murcia. Trained in economics, she moves between diverse techniques and themes, with current work centered on the poetics of feminine beauty and the varied forms found in nature. Sánchez Buendía’s paintings are driven by a deep sensitivity to the act of seeing, capturing the elusive moments when beauty appears—not as an external object, but as a reflection of the viewer’s own state of mind.
