Tony Gregg

Tony Gregg is an abstract painter based in Rhode Island, originally from the Midwest and holding a BFA from Bowling Green State University. Working intuitively, he constructs each canvas by hand and employs gestural techniques—such as swells, spirals, drips, and smears—to evoke movement, tension, and cycles of memory. His painting balances spontaneity with control, allowing for both chance and ambiguity. Gregg’s work has been shown in several New England galleries and featured in publications including The World of Interiors, Tatler, British Vogue, Spotlight Contemporary Art, The Huts, Purposeful Mayo, and Collect Art Autumn.
