Thierry Landon, born in 1963 in Paris, is a painter recognized for his vibrant oil works, which have been exhibited and represented by several galleries across France. After studying upholstery at the Ecole Boulle in Paris, Landon spent a decade as a decorator before working in the printing sector. In 1999, he committed fully to painting. He favors oil paint, often applied with a knife, and prepares his own supports using techniques informed by his background in upholstery. Color drives his practice; each subject serves as an opportunity to explore bold, semi-synthetic hues where excess detail is set aside.
