Working primarily with acrylics, charcoal, and photography—sometimes combining these mediums, sometimes allowing them to contrast—this artist’s practice centers on revealing the psychological and interior states that emerge when one looks closely. Drawing on the forest as an essential studio, their work seeks out what lies beneath the surface, whether in a distorted human face, silent landscapes, or the edges of dreams. Guided by the belief that humans are part of nature, not its masters, the artist investigates both people and forests to explore what is lost when that connection is forgotten.
