Natalia Rose, born in 1953 in Stavropol, Russia, creates expressive semi-abstract paintings characterized by broad, heavy brushstrokes. Through bold use of color and iconographic markings, her work questions modes of communication and the expression of abstract ideas. Rose studied at Moscow State University before completing further studies at the University of Copenhagen. Since her first exhibition in Copenhagen in 2014, her work has been shown in New York, Paris, Amsterdam, and London, and is included in private collections in the USA, Canada, Spain, and Sweden. Based in Copenhagen, she is a member of La Société académique ARTS-SCIENCES-LETTRES, Paris, and Billedkunstnernes Forbund BKF.
