Mister Marcus

Mister Marcus, a visual artist based in the Paris region, draws early inspiration from Jamie Reid’s punk posters, the rock comics of Jano and Margerin, and imported vinyl album covers. He approaches painting with a compositional sense shaped by music, emphasizing tension, rhythm, and abrupt shifts. The square serves as a persistent motif—alternately functioning as a riff, a memory fragment, or a pixel of disorder. Despite their collage-like appearance, his works are meticulously rendered in acrylic. Each composition weaves together elements of personal memory and shared cultural iconography, producing fragmented visual narratives.
