Jennifer Asher creates sculptures that address ideas of rebirth, renewal, transition, and joy. She draws on the tension between precise geometric forms and the unpredictability of natural environments, incorporating reflection, shadow, and the interplay of positive and negative space into her work. Each sculpture begins as a sketch before she builds a full-scale wooden maquette. Asher’s finished pieces are fabricated from steel, stainless steel, weathered steel, or copper.
