Ferruccio Ferrari

Italy

Ferruccio Ferrari (Milan, 1975) works across mixed media to examine identity, seriality, and the mediation of digital images. Educated at the Academy of Communication in Milan, he launched his career with Just 70's, the first Italian animated web series for MTV, before turning to a practice that merges street art, poster art, and urban figuration. Ferrari's ongoing use of the face as a modular element informs much of his work, evident in the viral project 25INCH.me (2010–2020), which investigated identity as a public construct. This trajectory led to the ICON FILTER series (Paris, 2025), featuring "post-portraits" where figures are fragmented and obscured by graphic interventions, exploring the face as both a symbol of visibility and a tool of control. In 2026, Ferrari will debut Freedom Fighters and Hey Kids Rock'n'Roll at the Lucca Art Fair.
