David Albert (Spain, 1975) is a contemporary painter based in Catalonia whose practice centers on the landscapes, light, and coastlines of the Mediterranean and the Ebro Delta. Working primarily with acrylic on canvas in formats ranging from 50×50 to 150×150 cm, Albert develops three ongoing series: Mirages, memory-infused landscapes shaped by glazing, sanding, and impasto; Géométries en Calme, marked by restrained geometric compositions; and Architecture of Silence, where vertical structures function as chromatic scores. His palette—deep turquoises, oxidized ochres, titanium whites, and bituminous blacks—reflects the material qualities of his region, revealing color through process rather than application. Albert’s work has appeared at art fairs in Bordeaux, Luxembourg, Barcelona, and Milan, and in exhibitions at Van Gogh Madrid and Petit Atelier Lleida. His paintings are included in Singulart’s curatorial selections for their technical and material coherence.
