Alfredo YACHE

For more than thirty-five years, Alfredo Yache has moved between painting and photography, allowing each medium to inform the other. His process often starts with a photographic image, which he gradually transforms through painting, merging fragmented visual elements into unified compositions. Yache’s work focuses on botany, capturing its cosmic sensuality and treating details such as shadows and reflections of light as essential components. In doing so, he brings a human presence to his subjects, infusing his pictures with a sense of intimacy and materiality.
