Adil Ghani

Adil Ghani’s ceramic practice merges the traditions of Malaysian Labu Sayong pottery with techniques developed through porcelain studies in Japan. Utilizing Japanese Raku firing, he brings together unpredictable surface textures, fractured forms, and metallic finishes. His work investigates processes of biological transformation and geological growth, pairing rough, organic surfaces with elements of mathematical precision. Based in Malaysia, Ghani’s sculptures foreground imperfection and the ephemeral, encouraging an appreciation for transience and the unexpected beauty found in change.
